Argentina coach Gerardo Martino has confirmed that super star Lionel Messi is likely to be fit for the game against Panama on Friday. Messi has been a major absentee for Argentina since the start of the tournament.
He has been struggling with back issues even during the pretournament friendly games. This forced to miss the game against Chile in the opening match. Argentina were able to claim a crucial 2-1 win over the reigning Copa America holders. This has provided them with a major psychological edge, but Argentina can progress only with the return of Messi.

This time the award is from Laureus Sports. He was given the award of ‘Team Athlete of the Year’ for his sterling performance for both club and country. The diminutive Argentine star received the prestigious award a day after breaking another record, scoring his 500th career goal after 623 games.

Barcelona aren’t having the best of luck at the moment as they stumbled and struggled for three matches in a row this season. Not just three matches, but three consecutive matches in a row.
