BAD TO WORSE

Inter Milan’s season went from bad to worse after they suffered a 1-0 defeat against archrivals AC Milan, who are themselves struggling in the league this season.

Since Inter came into the match on a much better form than Milan, they were expected to comfortably get a win against Clarence Seedorf’s men. The result, however, was a shock for the Inter Milan supporters. Former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong scored the only goal of the game in the 65th minute to help Milan get a rare victory.

There was positivity for Inter manager Walter Mazzarri, as was first defeat suffered by the club in the last five matches. AC Milan have been speaking about the need to finish high enough to qualify for Europe league at the least. There would need to defend the revenue generated by the football I’ll at least qualifying for this competition. Inter are almost certain to finish outside the Champions League places, but there was a lot of stake in the match since it involves their main rivals.

Mazzarri had little to complain after the match since his players were lethargic and lacking in creativity throughout the encounter, and said as much in his interview with the belgie algerije odds website.

"We weren't ourselves, the tension got to us. We didn't play well, as everyone saw. We did better in the first half, but cared so much about this game that we used up a lot of nervous energy beforehand. Unfortunately, this season has been up and down. Milan were more vehement in the tackle and first to the ball, so they won. Now we have to try and get as high up the table as possible; the situation is still in our hands and we've got to play better than this," said Mazzarri.

Inter Milan will next face Lazio looking to getting back to winning ways.
