When Lionel Messi was asked about the possibility of him leaving Barcelona, it doesn’t come as a surprise to know that the Argentine superstar stated that he does not have any plans of exiting the club which he joined during his youth and has gone on to become the most influential player in the history of the Spanish club.
PSG and Manchester City were being linked with Lionel Messi as those are a few of the only clubs that have enough cash to splash around to sign a player in the caliber of Messi but the Argentine dismissed all those rumors as he said that he will probably never leave Barcelona until the day for him to retire arrives and only in his retirement, he might make his way out of the Spanish club as he has plans of retiring in Argentina.

Barcelona are now unlikely to make a move for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba after president Josep Maria Bartomeu stated that manager Luis Enrique may not need him after all.
The former Manchester United midfielder is expected to command a transfer fee of around £ 70 million, which would make him a really expensive transfer even in the current standards. Only a couple of players like Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Gareth Bale have been more expensive than the 22-year-old. This season hasn’t been a memorable or impressive one for Manuel Pellegrini and Manchester City as they were knocked out of Champions League in the Round of 16 after losing against Barcelona and couldn’t keep up with Chelsea in the race of the Premier League.
Chelsea has already been crowned as the champions of England after collecting a total of 83 points, Manchester City was far behind as they could only gather 70 points in the same amount of matches.
Manchester City has spent over £350 million in signing their players since 2010.
2 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 1 Football League Cup and 1 FA Community Shield are all of the pieces of silverware that Manchester City has sealed after having spent that astronomically high amount of money a few years ago.
