The manager of Barcelona, Gerardo Martino, has said that Lionel Messi doesn’t have any physical issues and he is in good shape at the moment.
In the recently played El Clasico, Messi looked off colour. He was not in any kind of rhythm and after his performance in that match; people has been speculating that the Argentinean superstar must have some kind of physical problem, but, Martino has denied those speculations.
Talking to the reporters yesterday, the Barca boss said, “The fact that Messi didn’t score in the match against Madrid is not bothering me at all because what he brings to the side is extremely vital.”
“I don’t know who is spreading these reports about Messi having physical problems. There is nothing like that. He is in fine shape.”

Barcelona have been trying to sign a central defender for the last few months especially with the knowledge that captain Carlos Puyol may not be playing in a few years. They were extremely desperate to sign PSG defender Thiago Silva, who is regarded as the best centre back in the world right now.
However, the Brazilian rejected the lure of the Catalan club and signed a new contract with PSG. Since then, they have been looking at alternatives like Chelsea defender David Luiz and Liverpool's Daniel Agger. They have been unable to make any progress in the attempts to lure these players as well.

Lionel Messi has become one of the important members of the Barcelona set up so much so that there are rumours that he played a crucial role in the arrival of the new Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino.
The Argentine was appointed as the replacement for Tito Vilanova, who announced his resignation after failing to overcome cancer. Argentine ace Messi has become the undisputed number one player in the world over the last few years. However, he has said that he had no input with him to appointing the new manager despite the fact that he is from Argentina.

Football fans around the world all agree that the Premier League is one of the most competitive competitions in the world of football. This is because all the teams are filled with talent and everyone is trying to the top spot in the league.
Unlike some other leagues the Premiership has more than just a couple of teams that dominate. Manchester United is probably one of the best the league has ever seen since they are often either at the top of the table or close to it. This was no different this season as they took the top spot early and never let it go.
Betting on Manchester to win next season though could be a tough decision to make as there are few things that have already changed the team for next season. The main one though is the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson and his replacement of David Moyes.

New Barcelona signing Neymar has said that he cannot wait to play alongside Lionel Messi, who he regards as the best player in the world. Neymar was recently signed a five-year contract by Barcelona after they agreed a deal with Santos, who tried their level best to keep the 21-year-old.
Neymar has been linked with a move to Europe for a long time, but he has finally sealed his much anticipated move. Neymar is known for playing on the left and cutting in on his stronger right foot. This style of play is exactly opposite to Lionel Messi, who is left footed.
