CAPELLO WANTED MESSI

Former Real Madrid and Juventus manager Fabio Capello has revealed that he tried to sign Lionel Messi when he was at Juventus. The Barcelona superstar has achieved immense heights in the last few years.

After winning four FIFA Ballon d’Or award, he is rightly considered as one of the best in the world. Despite his numerous list of accolades, there are also those who questioned whether Messi could have achieved the same at a different environment other than Barcelona. Messi has been practically brought up by Barcelona since he entered into the teens.

Suarez happy that the ban has been lifted

New Barcelona forward Luis Suarez says that he is extremely happy that the ban imposed on him by FIFA has been lifted to a certain extent by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). FIFA banned for risk for a period of four months after being found guilty of biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini in the shoulder during the World Cup 2014. The suspension also prevented Suarez from being presented to the Barcelona fans after a £ 75 million move from Liverpool. He was also not involved in the early friendly matches for the Catalan club.

Van Gaal Will Be Deciding Fringe Players Future

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed that he will be taking a decision on the future of the fringe players in the coming weeks. A number of players are expected to depart the club in the last few weeks of the transfer window. This is partly because van Gaal will not be able to satisfy them with first-team football since United will be involved in only three trophies in the coming season. They have failed to qualify for both the Champions League and the Europa league after a disappointing last season.

Sabella Backs Up Messi Criticism

Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella has stated that superstar Lionel Messi was right to criticise his tactics in the opening group match against Bosnia. Despite having enjoyed a lot of success with the 4-3-3 formation in the last few months, Sabella decided to go with five defenders for the opening match of the World Cup 2014. This did not seem right as Argentina struggled to cope with the pressure of Bosnia in the first half. Superstar Lionel Messi was also unable to create much in the first 45 minutes.

SIlva Claims 'The Only Way To Stop Messi Is To Shoot Him'

Former AC Milan defender Thiago Silva has claimed that the only way Argentine superstar Lionel Messi can be stopped at the World Cup is by the use of a gun. Messi heads into the World Cup as of the best players in the world. Even though his form of late has not been great, he is widely seen as the man who can almost individually win the title for Argentina. Silva has come up against Messi a few times in the club career. Widely regarded as one of the best defenders in the world, Silva himself has struggled against Messi.
